Arizona is loading up in its 2017 class and commitment No. 19 went public Monday night when three-star receiver Warren Jackson made his decision public. The Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany standout visited Arizona earlier in the year and he came away impressed with what he saw. His time in Tucson always stuck with him while he waited to see what other programs became involved.

As the spring moved along and the season changed to summer Jackson realized what it was time to do so he gave Arizona's staff a call and delivered the news.

"I've been wanting to (commit) for a while ever since I took my visit," Jackson said of his decision. "I wanted to wait because I took a visit, and of course I'm going to like it, but I wanted to see if it was just the high or if I really liked it. So I waited.

"I had the same feeling about it. So I talked to my family and they were happy and excited and felt the same way. So I decided to just do it."

Earlier in the spring Jackson told us that he saw a potential for early playing time at Arizona because of his height and the Wildcats' lack of height at receiver moving forward. That was one of the big components of his final decision to commit to the 'Cats.

"That was a big factor," the 6-foot-5 prospect said. "I want to come in and play and graduate in three-and-half years and if I'm good enough go to the NFL. So I really looked at that a lot ... the roster they have, who would be the tallest guy if I were to go and it would be me. It's also close to home but not too close where I won't get that independent feeling of the college experience.

"So that as a major key too."

Jackson joins Arizona's growing class that now features receivers such as Drew Dixon and Brian Casteel to go along with big tight ends Bryce Gilbert and Bryce Wolma. With three-star recruit on board now the Wildcats moved up to the No. 7 class in the Rivals.com team recruiting rankings for 2017.
